I qualified in 1993 in Johannesburg after completing my NHD Podiatry and began private practice at the Medforum Hospital in Pretoria. Subsequently, I completed a B.Sc degree in Podiatric Medicine at the University of Westminster in the UK.

Currently I consult with numerous sports bodies as well industry in the provision of footwear and prevention of injuries to the feet and lower limbs.

I served on the Professional Board for Podiatrists on the Health Professions Council and the former SA Medical and Dental Council. I am a member of various professional organisations and registered to practice in the UK and South Africa.

I am also active with the wound care team of a Pretoria Hyperbaric Oxygen Unit and regularly write for the journal Diseases of the Skin.
